At a time when I should have felt fear, instead I felt an intense sense of calmness. You and I laughed and joked the entire day and night before my brain surgery. I am sure the nurses thought we were crazy. Your smile and presence will forever bring sunshine to my darkest days. Thank you for always standing by my side.

Things I want you to know...because of you, I believe I can do anything and everything I set my mind to in life. I feel so lucky to have inherited your sense of humor. I love hearing stories about how you grew up in Tennessee. When I was little I loved going with you to pick up our foster brothers and sisters. If we could go back in time, I would love to sit around the table with my friends and you telling you our funny stories.I still crave your chocolate gravy, phones calls, and hugs.
